Apache Administration

Course Description
This course is concerned with running Apache driven Intranet and Internet Web Site. It covers all the important duties of a web administrator ranging from installation and configuration, through to security and tuning. It is mainly concerned with running Apache on Linux and Unix machines, but also covers running Apache on Windows machines.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Conduct installation and configuration procedures
  • MIME and URL Mapping
  • Understand content negotiation and indexing
  • Performance Tuning

Course Prerequisites
Students must have a good working knowledge of Linux/UNIX or Windows NT commands and utilities.
