Description:
The Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documents Act (PIPEDA) is a new law. It governs
information held by private sector organizations,
and deal with information collection, use
and disclosure. With PIPEDA, we now have to
consider the rights of our customers, our
employees - and the legal responsibilities
of your corporation. In this course, students
will explore interpersonal issues - trust,
vulnerability and relationship building, corporate
character - and risk. Students will also investigate
the impact of audio-video & satellite
surveillance, identity systems, genetic testing,
digital rights management, data havens, interactive
TV, e-commerce, Voice over IP, public records,
Authentication and identity disclosure, and
workplace privacy.

and those who will be developing and maintaining
